The Concept

Facts and Features

Inspired by old hotel insignia and aristocratic coats of arms, Astoria on Tenth is heralded in by its own crest—the silver Griffin.

Part lion, part eagle, the Griffin as a legendary creature has a long, distinguished role in myth across multiple global cultures, from Britain to Persia to India. It was the sign of kings, power, and reportedly stood as a Protector over people and treasure. It’s become a popular icon in heraldry and gargoyles.

The Griffin has become Astoria’s distinctive crest, standing for the royal treatment residents and guests can expect.
